KALO IQ free plan: what you get without paying
The KALO IQ free plan gives you access to the creator database and discovery tools before you commit to a paid subscription. Here is exactly what is and is not included.
What the free plan includes
Creator search: Run searches using all available filters. Results show creator handles, follower count, platform and niche for each result.
Profile previews: View a limited version of each creator's profile including their platform, follower count and basic engagement indicator. Full engagement rate, audience demographics and contact details require a paid plan.
Creator comparison: Compare up to 2 creators side by side on available metrics.
No time limit: The free plan does not expire. You can use it as long as you want before deciding whether to upgrade.
No credit card required: Signing up does not require payment information. You only enter card details when upgrading to a paid plan.
What requires a paid plan
Full profile data: Complete engagement rate, audience demographics (US percentage, age, gender split) and fake follower score require Starter or above.
Creator contact details: Outreach email addresses are only available on paid plans. The free plan shows that contact information exists but does not reveal it.
Outreach: Sending messages through the platform requires a paid plan with outreach credits.
Campaign tracking: Campaign creation, UTM link generation and ROI reporting require Starter or above.
Saving lists: Saving creators to persistent lists for later access requires a paid plan. Free plan searches are not saved between sessions.

Getting the most from the free plan
Use the free plan to validate the database before paying. Run searches for your target niche, follower range and US audience filter. Count the results. If the database returns a strong volume of creators in your specific niche, the platform is worth the Starter subscription.
Review the limited profile previews to check niche accuracy and platform coverage. The free plan is designed to give you enough signal to make an informed upgrade decision without requiring a paid commitment first.
Upgrading from free to Starter
Click Upgrade in the top navigation or go to Settings > Billing. Select Starter ($79/mo or $55/mo billed yearly). Enter your card details and confirm. Upgrade takes effect immediately - full profile data and outreach credits are available from the moment the payment processes.
There is no data migration needed. Any searches you ran on the free plan do not carry over but your account settings and team information do.
