How to set up your KALO IQ account in 30 minutes
KALO IQ is self-serve from the moment you sign up. This guide walks through every step from first login to running a live creator search. It takes under 30 minutes if you follow the steps in order.
Step 1: Create your account (2 minutes)
Go to kaloiq.com and click Sign up free. Enter your name, work email and create a password. No credit card required for the free plan.
You will receive a verification email. Click the link and you are in. The onboarding wizard is optional - skip it and go straight to the creator search to see the product immediately.
Step 2: Run your first creator search (5 minutes)
Click Discover in the left sidebar. This opens the creator search. Set your first filters:
- Platform: Select Instagram, TikTok or YouTube
- Location: Set to United States (important - this filters by verified US audience not just stated location)
- Follower range: Start with 10,000-100,000 for micro influencers
- Engagement rate: Set a minimum of 3.5% for Instagram, 5% for TikTok
- Niche: Select your brand category
Click Search. The results show verified US creators matching your criteria. Each card shows follower count, engagement rate, platform and audience geography.

Step 3: Save creators to a list (3 minutes)
Click any creator card to open their full profile. Review their audience demographics, recent posts and engagement breakdown. If they are a good fit, click Save to list and create a new list (for example "Campaign 1 shortlist").
Repeat for 10-15 creators you want to evaluate. Your saved lists appear in the left sidebar under Lists.
Step 4: Set up outreach (10 minutes)
From your saved list, select the creators you want to contact. Click Start outreach. Write your outreach message - keep it under 120 words, reference something specific about their content and include your product and a clear rate or rate range.
KALO IQ sends the outreach through your connected email. If you have not connected an email yet, go to Settings > Integrations > Email and connect your work email account.
Step 5: Create your first campaign tracking setup (10 minutes)
Go to Campaigns in the sidebar and click New campaign. Add your campaign name, dates and the creators from your outreach list. KALO IQ generates a unique UTM tracking link for each creator automatically.
Copy the UTM link for each creator and include it in your brief. When creators use this link in their posts, KALO IQ tracks the resulting clicks and purchases back to the specific creator.
