We were founded in December 2015 in Beverly Hills. Today we serve 200+ paying brands across DTC, eCommerce and SaaS. The team is 50 people, remote first, with one in-person retreat a year.

About the role
Build the interfaces brands use to search 100 million US creators and run campaigns. React, TypeScript, real users on day one. This is a senior individual contributor role. You will own outcomes not tasks. You will work async with a small team that ships every week.
Who you will work with
This role reports to Michael Thompson, our CTO. You will work closely with Michael Thompson (CTO) directly. Day to day with two other senior engineers and one designer. Pair coding twice a week. Weekly product review with James Carter (CEO).
What you will do
- Own the creator search UI. The most-used surface in the product. Three filter dimensions today, growing to seven. Performance budget is 1.8 seconds to interactive on 4G.
- Ship the new dashboard. Real campaign tracking, real ROAS, real attribution. Replace the v2 dashboard which our heaviest users have outgrown.
- Raise the bar for code quality. Code reviews are not optional. You will reject PRs that ship without tests and you will explain why kindly enough that the author still wants to ship the next one.
- Run our component library. We have 38 components today. Half need refactoring. You will own the design system handoff with our designer.
- Take part in on-call rotation. One week every 6 weeks. We get 3 to 5 production incidents a month. Most are resolved in under 25 minutes.
Skills and experience we look for
- 7+ years building production React applications. TypeScript not optional. We use it everywhere.
- You have shipped at a product company, not just an agency. You know what it feels like to maintain code 18 months after you wrote it.
- You care about performance. You can talk through LCP, CLS, INP and you have actually moved the numbers on a real product.
- You read other people's code without ego. You leave it better than you found it. You write commit messages a future engineer can read at 3am.
- You have opinions about state management but you can work in any of them. We use Zustand. If you prefer Redux Toolkit we are not going to argue about it for 4 hours.
Our tech stack
- Next.js 15 (App Router) with React 19 and TypeScript 5.4
- Zustand for client state, TanStack Query for server state
- Tailwind CSS plus a 38-component in-house library on top of Radix primitives
- Vitest for unit tests, Playwright for E2E, Storybook for component docs
- PostHog for product analytics, Sentry for error tracking, Vercel for hosting
How we hire

- Recruiter screen. 30-minute call with the hiring manager. We talk through your background, the role and what you want next.
- Take-home task. A small paid take-home, scoped to 4 hours of work. You keep the IP. We pay $400 USD whether or not you advance.
- Working session. 90-minute live session with 2 teammates. We work through a real problem we are currently solving. No whiteboard puzzles.
- Founder chat. 45 minutes with James Carter (CEO) or another member of the leadership team depending on the role. Two-way conversation about KALO IQ direction.
- References and offer. Two reference calls. Offer within 5 business days of the working session.
Total elapsed time: 14 to 21 days. We respect your time. We will tell you no fast if we are not advancing you.
